He belonged to a family of distinguished scholars and was the author of 104 works on subjects like poetics and Vedanta and on Śaiva themes. His work in the first-mentioned category, Kuvalayānanda, is paricularly famous. He was patronised by King Venkatadeva of Vijayanagara and Tirumala Nāyaka of Madurai. |
